Continuity Philosophy

Veriti is designed to minimise operational disruption through monitoring, backups, recovery planning and continuous improvement.

Backups

Managed database backups are retained by the infrastructure provider. Backup frequency and retention follow provider defaults and Veriti operational configuration. Schools should also export critical records periodically where required by internal policy.

Recovery

Partial

Recovery focuses on restoring application availability and database integrity after an incident. Restore testing and playbooks continue to mature as part of the security roadmap.

Monitoring

Hosting and application health are monitored through platform tooling. Operational alerts help the team respond to outages and degraded performance.

Maintenance

Planned maintenance is scheduled to minimise disruption. Where possible, updates are applied with rolling or low-downtime deployment practices.

Incident Response

Partial

Security and availability incidents are triaged, mitigated and communicated to affected schools when customer data or service availability is impacted. Formal incident documentation continues to expand.

Business Continuity Principles

  • Protect the confidentiality and integrity of school data during disruptions.
  • Restore core school operations as quickly as practicable.
  • Communicate clearly with affected customers when material incidents occur.
  • Learn from incidents and improve controls and runbooks over time.

Recovery Objectives

Until formal targets are published, schools should plan for temporary service interruption and maintain independent copies of mission-critical exports where internal policy requires it.
